Piano
JaCari Diggs began piano lessons at the tender age of 11, studying under his grandmother, who was the minister of music at their local church. Taking inspiration from his grandmother, JaCari decided to study the piano.
During his early schooling, he participated in multiple choirs until he entered high school, where he later joined the school's jazz band.
JaCari is a graduate of Virginia State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Concentration in Piano. He is well-versed in classical music, jazz, gospel, R&B, and more.
He is also very active in the Richmond community. He has shared the stage with many acts, including J Tucker and the Krewe and the Jazz Therapy Band, and spearheads his own jazz trio.
Some of his most notable accomplishments include his debut record, "Get Together," by NFUSIONZ, for which he composed the title track, and his EP, "Eternity," which recently featured bassist Mike Hawkins and drummer Billy Williams Jr.
JaCari's college piano teacher inspired him to pursue teaching the piano through diligence and attention to his growth, and he aims to pass that on to the next generation of musicians.
JaCari aspires for his students to be versatile with their instruments, encouraging them to incorporate both classical and other genres in their study. Because to him, being a musician is embracing all that music has to offer
