With over 30 years of experience at the keys, Manuela Toscano brings a vibrant mix of passion, performance, and pedagogy to every lesson. A self-taught pianist since the age of nine, she later refined her skills through formal training and live performance, including over 15 years of playing in a Christian band, featured roles in major Christmas and Easter productions, and teaching at a nonprofit chapel, where she developed and led a children's worship band.
Manuela offers specialized contemporary piano lessons, teaching students how to play by ear and use chord-based methods-ideal for aspiring worship leaders, band musicians, or anyone looking to play music with confidence and expression.
Manuela is more than a musician-she's a lifelong learner with a rich background in communication studies, foreign languages, and interior design. She is currently completing her degree in psychology and pursuing a path in counseling, which informs her empathetic, student-centered approach to teaching. She believes in meeting students where they are —emotionally, mentally, and creatively —to help them feel comfortable, seen, and inspired.
With a strong foundation in K-12 education and performing arts, Manuela has taught music, drama, and movement to over 300 students. She currently leads a children's choir and offers private piano instruction to students of all ages. Her passion for human behavior, combined with her deep love of music, allows her to adapt lessons to different learning styles in meaningful and original ways.
Manuela specializes in teaching beginners, especially children, and is known for her nurturing spirit, intuitive teaching style, and heartfelt passion for helping others grow. Whether guiding a young student through their first song or reigniting a love for music in adults, she aims to enrich lives, unlock creativity, and share the transformative power of music.
