Marie is a talented vocalist, pianist, and instructor who started her musical journey at the age of 5 when she began learning how to play the piano. Before long, she was singing as well, and taking private lessons for both. During her childhood, Marie began growing as a performer, as she participated in many choirs, ensembles, and quartets. As she matured in her musicianship, Marie added many experiences to her music career, including leading a community band, supporting nonprofit organizations through music, touring and performing with a vocal group, and appearing on television and live stages.

Marie decided to become a teacher because she enjoys seeing people achieve their goals and enjoy the learing process in addition to the finished product. She now has over two decades of experience with teaching piano, voice, and songwriting in both English and French. She brings a flexible and student-centered approach to music education, and she loves working with learners of all ages—from young beginners discovering music for the first time to retirees finally pursuing a lifelong dream. She has experience with teaching every age group, even retirees, and she loves making hard things simple and doable. She passionately believes that music should be attainable and enjoyable at every level. Marie's teaching is always guided by the goals of each student and family. She understands that some students want lessons simply for fun and personal enjoyment, while others are preparing for recitals, auditions, or more advanced performance opportunities. No matter the path, she creates lessons that fit individual needs, learning styles, and musical interests. Marie's students describe her lessons as encouraging, engaging, and confidence-building. She is focused on helping each person develop solid musical foundations while also exploring creativity, expression, and personal style.
