Bob W.

Bob is an accomplished classical guitarist, arranger, and teacher. He received his Bachelor degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Catholic University. He has been playing classical guitar for over 60 years, and he's been teaching for over 15 of those years.

Bob is a patient, encouraging, and versatile teacher who believes in building up his students' confidence so that they can continue to stay motivated and progress toward their musical goals. He has taught all styles and genres of music including classical, Spanish, pop, jazz, rock, and bluegrass, and is an excellent match for students of all ages and skill levels.

When not teaching guitar, Bob enjoys performing in a number of capacities. He performs regularly at public and private events, as well as weekly church services. He has performed at a reception for the Washington Bach Consort, the afternoon teas at the Mansion at Strathmore Hall, and numerous other weddings and special events. Bob is also currently involved with the Friedman - Wysong Flute/Guitar Duo. Additionally, he has participated in ensembles including the Potowmak Trio, the Vivaldi Trio, and the Joyful Noise folk group. When the Washington Guitar Society was active, Bob organized meetings, conducted guitar ensembles, edited the newsletter, and performed for the open stage.
